MILWAUKEE – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its major award winners and all-conference teams for the 2019 baseball season on Wednesday morning, selected by the coaches of each team in the conference. MSOE baseball, which underwent a rebuilding of sorts this past season, had Nick Gross (Brookfield, Wis. / Marquette) as their lone representative on the All-Conference team.
Gross, an outgoing senior, had a slash line of .309/.412/.432 this past season. These numbers got him placed on the All-NACC First team in the designated hitter category. He slugged three home runs and knocked in 30, while grabbing eight doubles and scoring 17 times. He was amongst the conference leaders in multiple categories, finishing in the top 15 in home runs, RBIs, and walks.
Gross was an incredibly solid offensive player in the Raiders lineup during his time at MSOE, with a career average of .320. Of his 169 career hits, 34 were doubles, four were triples, and 13 of them left the confines of the ballpark. He also walked 62 times and batted in 93.
Gross ranks among the MSOE career leaders in eight different categories, solidifying his spot in the program's record books.
