MILWAUKEE – Sophomore Matthew Kirmse of the MSOE men's basketball team has been named to the All-NACC First Team, the league office announced Thursday.
Junior Jason Palesse also earned post-season honors, being named All-NACC Honorable Mention.
Kirmse started all 26 games and currently leads the league with 3.3 three-pointers per game this season. He finished as the team's top scorer with 16.1 points per game, scoring in double-digits 24 times and topping 20 points seven times. He added 4.7 rebounds per game and posted one double-double. His 86 three-pointers are eighth-most in school history and give him 133 for his career, already seventh in program history.
Palesse drove the Raiders' offense all season, averaging 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game in 26 starts. He's currently third in the NACC in assists per game while his 129 assists are the seventh-most in team history. He scored in double-figures 19 times and hit the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer against Louisiana College Dec. 29 in Texas.
MSOE went 16-10 this season and finished third in the NACC with a 14-6 record.
