Despite the sweep, the Raiders (20-5) were in contention in each of the three sets against the No. 1-seed Stars (25-2), who now advance to Saturday's championship match against the winner of No. 6 Carthage and No. 15 Mount St. Joseph.

The Raiders played from behind for much of the opening frame but stormed back when facing set points at 24-21.
