MILWAUKEE, Wis. – MSOE head women's basketball coach and SWA Jessica Ott has been named in the 2013 induction class for the UW-Stevens Point Athletics Hall of Fame, the athletic department announced this week.
Ott, who has led the Raider women's basketball program since 2002, is part of an eight-person class of former Pointers that will be inducted. She joins Jessie (Bushman) Anderson, Brant Bailey, Kelly (Rutta) Erickson, Kelly Fink, Ryan Jones, Scott Krause and Abby Richter in this year's class.

Jessica Ott (New Glarus, WI/New Glarus) (Major: communication, 1996-2001): A three-time First Team All-WIAC performer, Ott's name still features prominently in the UW-Stevens Point record book. She is UWSP's third all-time leading scorer (1,592 points) and ranks second in career scoring average (16.2), fifth in career field goals made (505), third in career free throws made (359), and first in career three pointers made (223). She has two of the three highest marks in three pointers made in a season. Ott was a three-year captain and team MVP. She was a two-time DIII News Honorable Mention All-American and was named to the NCAA Division III Midwest All-Region Team in 1997-98. Ott also was a Columbus Multimedia Second Team All-Midwest honoree in 1999-00 and a Columbus Multimedia Honorable Mention All-Central Region honoree in 1998-99. She is currently the assistant director of athletics at Milwaukee School of Engineering, where she is also the senior woman administrator and head women's basketball coach. She has twice been named Northern Athletics Conference Coach of the Year and guided the program to its first ever winning season.
Ott will be inducted in conjunction with UWSP's Homecoming weekend Oct. 4-6. Ott and her fellow honorees will be introduced at halftime of a football game Oct. 5 and honored with a ceremony that evening at the Dreyfus University Center on campus.
