WBB Falls In Season Opener

MILWAUKEE – Rarely does the first game of the year turn into the best game of the season. MSOE headed onto the court for their first game of the 2019-20 season, but there is some work to do as they lost to the Foresters of Lake Forest by 33 points.

RESULTS
Lake Forest – 77
MSOE – 44

HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (0-1) played from behind pretty much from the opening tip off in this contest. Lake Forest (1-0) put up at least 16 points in each quarter, with the Foresters largest total coming in the fourth with 23. The Raiders also got into foul trouble early, with starter Amy Reiser limited to just 17 minutes because of infractions assessed during the first half. The Red & White shot just 27.7 percent from the field and only a tick better from behind the arc at 33.3. MSOE got to the charity stripe 24 times and converted on 13. Meanwhile, Lake Forest made exactly half the shots they took and were 9-10 from the free throw line. LFC's Meona Feather led all scorers with 17 points as MSOE drops the opening game of the 2019-20 season.
