Women's Tennis Makes It Three In A Row

GLENDALE, Wis. – Yesterday marked the first home game for the MSOE women's tennis team during the 2019-20 campaign, one that saw them take on a familiar conference foe in Marian. Five months after the Raiders brushed the Sabres out of the NACC playoffs, the Red & White dominated them again to win their third conference match of the fall.

Marian – 2 (3-2, 3-1 NACC)
MSOE – 7   (4-5, 3-2 NACC)

Katie Clements/Cierra Smith DEFEAT Bruce/Paulson (8-3)
Leah Becker/Kim Baffin DEFEAT Helstad/Mereness (by default)

Svedova DEFEATS Lewandowski (6-0, 6-0)
Clements falls to Meyers (7-5, 5-7, 4-10)
Marron DEFEATS Bruce (6-0, 6-0)
Smith DEFEATS Paulson (6-3, 6-3)
Becker DEFEATS Helstad (by default)
Boden falls to Mereness (4-6, 1-6)

Hannah Marron teamed with Daniela Svedova once again in the number one doubles spot, easily winning their match 8-1. The pair are now ranked second in the NACC top doubles position with an 8-1 record. The sophomore also turned in the second of two MSOE 6-0, 6-0 victories when she took down the Sabres Krysten Bruce to even up her record at 2-2 in the third singles position.

MSOE will continue play this upcoming Monday with their third home match in four games. They will take on North Park beginning at 4:00 pm.
