RIVER FOREST, Ill. – MSOE was looking to move their NACC record to 3-1 when they took on Concordia-Chicago last night on the road. Unfortunately, the Raiders just couldn't put things together, falling to the Cougars in straight sets on Friday evening.
MSOE – 0 (12, 18, 21)
CUC – 3 (25, 25, 25)
HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (7-12, 2-2 NACC) was slow to get out of the gate in set one and just weren't able to recover. Though they didn't have a negative hitting percentage in any of their three sets, they averaged just .086. Meanwhile, Concordia-Chicago (8-12, 2-2 NACC) hit .284 as a team, highlighted with a .464, 16 kill performance from Julia Spitelli. The Cougars accumulated ten more kills than the Raiders and had nine less errors. MSOE had set two tied at 12-12 and were only down two at the tail end of set three but allowed big runs that shut the door on their fourth conference contest of the season.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will play the first of four games next week starting with Dominican on Tuesday night. The road contest will begin at 7:00 pm from River Forest, Ill.
