Women's Cross Country Takes Eighth at Hoffman Invite

WHITEWATER, Wisconsin – The MSOE women's cross country team had its top four runners finish within 22 seconds of each other as it placed eighth in a field of 12 teams at the Tom Hoffman Invitational, hosted by UW-Whitewater on its campus Saturday afternoon.

The Raiders finished with 220 points, finishing eight points ahead of UW-Platteville for eighth place.

Junior Becky Sondelski led the charge in 49th place with a time of 27:16.5. Junior Alex Muench was just over four seconds back in 52nd place with a time of 27:20.6. Freshman Morgan Balog ran 27:30.9 for 56th place and sophomore Patty Bray was 60th in 27:38.6.

Senior Cass Wright rounded out the scorers for MSOE, running 30:04.1 for 98th place. Sophomore Grace Kusik and junior Emorie Harty completed the team's top seven, with Kusik running 31:19.7 for 118th place. Harty was 128th in 32:03.3. 

The Raiders return to action next Saturday at the Roy Griak Invitational.
